About this machine
A rack makes barbell exercises, especially squats, safer through adjustable hooks and safety arms. Set those heights before the first set and rehearse the path with an empty bar or light load. The rack does not remove the need for sensible loading and safety checks.
Exercise options
- Barbell squat: quadriceps and glutes; trunk muscles stabilize.
- Barbell overhead press, if the rack height and space permit: shoulders and triceps; trunk muscles stabilize.
- Bench press, only with a suitable bench and safety arms: chest, triceps, and front shoulders.
Muscles worked
- Main load: Front thigh.
- Stabilization: trunk muscles help hold position.
- Should not hurt: joints or lower back. If they do, reduce load and check setup.
How to set up
- For the Basic Squat Rack, first check its source-listed detail: targets the thigh muscles.
- Place the rack or module on a level surface.
- Distribute weight symmetrically and avoid loading only one side.
- Store heavier items lower when the design allows it.
- Keep a clear walking path around the equipment.
How to perform
Main exercise: a barbell exercise with correctly set safety arms.
- Use the Basic Squat Rack as a storage point: take and return implements one at a time without twisting the torso.
- Return accessories to their place immediately after the set.
- Make sure plates, bars, or handles are fully seated on their holders.
- Use the module only for the storage type it was designed for.
Common mistakes
- Loading one side of the rack heavily.
- Storing the wrong items on the holders.
- Leaving implements on the floor around the rack.
- Yanking a heavy item from an awkward position.
- Ignoring this model-specific detail: targets the thigh muscles.
